Mechanical Design Engineer

We are looking for a Mechanical Design Engineer to join #TeamBergmann!

What You'll Be Doing: The Mechanical Design Engineer works with senior engineers to develop plans and specifications for projects consisting of HVAC, plumbing, and fire prevention designs.

What We're Looking For: The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years' experience in HVAC, Air Filtration, and Fire Prevention design. Prior experience creating/designing for industrial, commercial, retail, government, and education facilities is strongly preferred.

What You'll Need to Be Successful:

• A willingness to learn and work closely with others
• Willing to travel as needed
• Some experience in Revit
• Some experience in AutoCAD
• A team player who is also able to work independently

Our Mechanical Engineers also:

• Complete equipment sizing and load calculations
• Selections, Design, and Drafting of ductwork and piping systems
• Develop drawings including plans, schedules, and details
• Develop REVIT models to facilitate design work
• Provide coaching and guidance for junior level staff
• Provide additional engineering support of construction activities such as submittal reviews and site inspections
• Travel and field work to document existing conditions and to develop designs will be required
• Suggest new ideas and processes, stay informed of developments in practice areas, view obstacles as opportunities
