We are looking for an experienced senior attorney to help clients achieve favorable outcomes with legal matters. You will advocate for clients, advise them on the best course of action, and implement their legal support plan. You should have previous trial experience, be able to manage a heavy caseload and use your general counsel experience and interpersonal skills to mentor our lower-level associates to ensure a continued legacy of prosperity. Responsibilities
The Senior Attorney shall perform legal services including legal research; drafting agreements, resolutions, memos, motions, pleadings, orders, judgments, and status updates; and overseeing and analyzing discovery, documents provided by parties, etc.
The Senior Attorney shall appear on behalf of and advocate for clients as necessary
The Senior Attorney may also conduct initial consultations with prospective clients and serve as the principal contact between the Firm and its clients
When delegated by the Partners, the Senior Attorney may prospect for new clients through marketing, networking, writing articles, and speaking engagements
Get appropriate documents prepared, such as motions, pleadings, notices, and discovery requests and responses
Keep apprised of changes to local, state, and federal statutes and laws
Argue motions in court on behalf of clients during legal proceedings
Perform research, draft briefs, pleadings, and motions
Strategize, prepare for, and attend trial proceedings, mediation, and arbitration
Qualifications
Prior experience representing clients in trials, mediation, and arbitration
Completion of a 4-year bachelor's degree, as well as 3-year law degree from an accredited law school
Work independently while handling a heavy caseload
Exceptional time management and interpersonal skills are desired, as are exceptional writing and verbal communication skills
Active member in good standing with local and state bar associations
