Successful candidates should have the following:
- Five years of experience as a Senior Accountant or two years as a Controller.
- Strong experience in cost/inventory accounting, revenue recognition, and/or SAAS accounting and revenue recognition.
- Experience in accounting for consolidations and other business combinations.
- Experience with international and multi-currency accounting.
- Experience working with start-up and enterprise companies.
- You must be comfortable working in fast-paced, changing environments. Depending on the size of the client, this role will have 5-10 clients at any given time.
- Comprehensive experience supporting external and internal audits, due diligence, and income tax return matters.
Educational Requirements:
- A Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics is required.
Preferred Experience:
- CPA Certification or CPA in progress.
- MBA or MST Degree.
- Consulting experience.
- Experience in purchase accounting.
Responsibilities:
- Establish, monitor, and enforce a comprehensive set of internal controls and develop policies and procedures regarding accounting and financial-related issues.
- Manage clients effectively.
- Own and guide the monthly, quarterly, and annual close cycle, including all relevant journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, variance analysis, and associated reporting requirements.
- Establish GAAP accounting standards and procedures.
- Prepare various monthly and annual corporate financial reports for clients, a pivotal task in our client's decision-making process. This includes consolidated financial statements, income statements, balance sheet statements, cash-flow statements, etc.
- Support cross-functional accounting and finance systems implementation integrations.
- Guide and manage staff through mentorship and assistance.
