Automation Software Engineer

Description:
Provide Automation Engineering services specifically based on the Siemens Simatic platform for complex Process and Mechanical systems required for our targeted industries.
Interface with I&C, Process, Mechanical, and Electrical Engineers/designers, construction supervisors, and vendors.
Extensive knowledge of ISA symbols and tagging.
Implement an established developed control scheme based on client requirements
Perform necessary duties for commissioning network communications to processors and periphery devices
Perform duties to establish functional and stress testing of developed code
Identify failure modes and corrective actions for reliability and recovery modes
Perform point-to-point checks along with documentation for process tracking and improvements.
Key attributes include:
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
Capability in reading electrical/mechanical schematics
Troubleshooting abilities for electrical systems
Pumps and motor experience for troubleshooting mechanical and electrical loading
Control system interface networking/ PC networking
Excellent communication skills
Ability to work well in teams and independently
Takes initiative, innovative, and has keen attention to detail
Ability to work effectively in fast-paced multitasking environment with plant engineers, external vendors, operators, and management to manage projects and assignments.
Education Requirements:
Bachelors Degree in Automation, Mechanical, Electrical, or Software Sciences with proven experience in the Area
Functional Safety Certification - TUV or equivalent is a plus.
Must-Have Technical Skills:
Siemens Simatic products experience required
Minimum five (5) years of experience involving software development and testing for process controls and related automation applications required using Siemens Simatic Automation Technology
Experience developing User Requirement Specifications, Functional Specifications, Sequence of Operations
Experience developing the automation design from P&IDs, Process Control Narratives
Experience developing/designing Control Systems
Process and/or Facility Systems (Simatic PCS 7)
Must be willing to travel to manufacturing/customer site
Commissioning and startup control system in the field required.
Industrial Automation Systems solutions with experience in:
Simatic TIA Portal Engineering environment.
SCADA (WinCC Professional) and Ethernet.
