Clinical Director Job Description
The Clinical Director is responsible for monitoring the daily clinical operations of a single location of ABA Centers of America, which provides services to learners who are receiving insurance-funded or private-pay funded services. The Clinical Director ensures there is a clear line of communication between BCBAs, RBTs and other team members of ABA Centers of America. At times, the Clinical Director may maintain a small caseload of 3 to 6 clients.
Responsibilities:
Monitors 5 to 7 BCBAs and their current caseloads
Ensures the smooth transition of incoming clients and discharging clients
Monitors clinical team staffing schedules to ensure continuous delivery of authorized services
Monitors operations of day-to-day services to ensure smooth service delivery between all providers
Oversees the implementation of behavior-analytic programs by RBTs and caregivers
Conducts assessments related to the need for behavioral intervention (e.g., preference assessment, functional assessment, staff performance assessment, etc.)
Leads weekly BCBA team meetings
Attends various leadership meetings at the regional level
Implements training curriculum for all new staff and monitors the performance of all clinical staff on an ongoing basis
Interviews and hires all new clinical staff including BCBAs and RBTs, participates in the hiring process of administrative staff
Ensures client satisfaction and quality service delivery at an organizational level
Designs, implements, and systematically monitors skill-acquisition and behavior reduction programs
Supervises interns/apprentices seeking BCBA certification on a weekly basis
Analyzes and summarizes results of assessments and graphs results as needed
Completes and submits documentation in a timely manner regarding hours of service and services rendered for prompt billing to payors
Writes 6-month progress reports to secure continuation of service authorization from payors as deemed clinical required and necessary
Creates goals for skills generalization and maintenance
In collaboration with the Director of Training & Professional Development, provides team member and caregiver training
Engages in problem solving as scheduling and staffing issues arise
Completes caregiver training with current clients
Ensures delivery of clinical practices in accordance with the credentialing board's ethical code

- All team members are responsible for preserving the cleanliness of the interior and exterior of the facility. Team members are expected to keep work and common break spaces tidy and to adhere to infection control protocols and policies.
- Team members are expected to adhere to facility safety requirements, report unsafe practices or equipment, and, if applicable, use the appropriate protective equipment as needed.
- Depending on role, and during the daily course of duties, team members may have to lift, twist, pull or push. Team members must be able to manage these activities up to 60 lbs.
- Any accident or incident must be reported immediately to a member of management for proper recording.
