Description:

Systems: Technical Project Manager
OVERVIEW: We are seeking a technical project manager to join its Systems Program Management team. Systems works closely with all business units firmwide to understand business needs and provide innovative technology solutions. The team designs, supports, and manages solutions across a wide variety of technology, including a sophisticated Windows and Linux desktop/server environment, cutting-edge storage and clustered computing solutions, and a number of communications platforms. This dynamic position will offer a broad view into the firm's technology practice and provide opportunities to help drive the creation and adoption of exciting internal projects.

WHAT YOU'LL DO DAY-TO-DAY: The project manager will work with seasoned business and technology leaders alongside multiple development teams to assist with the development and implementation of the firm's technology platform. This person will coordinate and advance new project work, manage timelines, and help drive strategic process improvements to enhance collaboration and workflows across the department. The role offers the opportunity to liaise frequently with departments outside of Systems in order to advance large-scale technology projects across the firm.

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR:
Ideal candidates will have three to five years of prior experience in a role involving technical project management or business analysis.
Excellent communication skills, a demonstrated sense of personal accountability, a passion for UX, and a natural appetite for workflow optimization are required. Some coding experience is beneficial, as is an ability to comfortably discuss technical concepts with developers.
Applicants should be able to bring clarity to the projects they are working on in the following ways: defining goals and success measures; freeing up lines of communication; identifying and removing blockers; encouraging collaboration; and, most importantly, continuously looking for ways to perfect how we work.
A degree in computer science (or another technical discipline) is preferred but not required.
