Pain Management and General Anesthesiologist Job Summary and Responsibilities:
We are seeking a Pain Management and General Anesthesiologist to join our growing anesthesia group in the Rockford, Illinois area.
The incoming physician will perform anesthesia cases including orthopedics, general surgery, and neuro cases. The physician will have the time and opportunity to develop thorough relationships with the surgeons and potentially build their own pain practice.
Taking calls is heavily recommended, however, call times are negotiable.
This position is offering $500,000 and full benefits! A significant sign-on bonus is also available.
Requirements:
Ability to provide medical treatments such as administering medications, performing physical exams, ordering diagnostic tests, interpreting test results, and providing patient education. Ability to identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions. Ability to actively look for ways to help people by providing excellent customer service.
Ability to pay close attention to detail when completing tasks or analyzing data. General Medicine and Practice / Medicine and Dentistry: Knowledge of principles and methods for diagnosis, treatment, and rehabilitation. Ability to use logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions or approaches to problems.
A Pain fellowship and a background in anesthesiology are needed. Experience performing a variety of different surgeries and procedures, including neuro and orthopedic cases. Ability to manage pain effectively across many types of cases and patient demographics. Knowledgeable in diagnostic techniques, such as CT scans, ultrasounds, MRIs, etc., used to aid anesthesia decisions during surgery or other interventions. Demonstrated proficiency in interpreting test results related to patients under anesthesia care or being monitored for pain control.
