Description:
The Sr. Business Technology Partner will lead a highly technical staff responsible for building, maintaining and continuously improving Society business processes. As a strategic partner, the BTP shares ownership for both business and technology strategy and leads business process reengineering efforts through the development of high-quality business cases, requirements, business process flows, problem/need assessments, and the technical solutions.
Essential Functions/Responsibilities:
Need/Requirement Gathering 45%
Develop standards for managing Business Analysis activities throughout the Society.
Define and document business needs and requirements for both departmental and Enterprise solutions.
Develop business cases in partnership with business leaders.
Define and document current state business process, future state and gaps.
Develop detailed technical architecture flows
Develop business process continuous improvement plans
Coordinate the creation of all technology required documentation
Define and document high-level technology requirements
Coordinate training with Society Change Management team and lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) efforts
Attend and present at Change Management and Technical Approval Team meetings
Strategic Partnering and Strategy 35%
Coach business leaders and enable them to articulate their function's technology needs and requirements that will advance business performance. Develop joint projects, evaluate proposals, and develop business cases to determine alignment to business/technology roadmaps and priorities.
Partner with enterprise architecture to develop and maintain multi-year business/technology roadmaps.
Partner with the enterprise project management team to ensure a healthy and well-managed technology portfolio that provides the highest impact to the organization. Engage as a project/program stakeholder, including evaluating project efforts and progress against other projects.
Focus on business value by developing ideas, risk assessments, business continuity, and business capability requirements.
Understand industry innovation with regards to your knowledge and awareness of trends and digital advances as they relate to new opportunities and business needs.
Enterprise Architecture 20%
Lead efforts to document and decide on the future vision of all enterprise architectures within the Society.
Documentation of the Society's technology current state, as well as 1-3-5-year strategic plans
Provide strong communication plans to technology stakeholders to ensure they buy into these technology growth plans
