Job Purpose Summary: ? Responsibilities include working alongside nursing staff and psychiatry staff with the ability to perform either positions tasks Objective and Key Results: ? Performing initial psychiatric evaluations within a 60 minute period ? Performing medication management follow ups within 20 minutes ? Completing documentation within 48 hours ? Completing refer out forms within 24 hours after seeing a patient that needs a higher level of care ? Completing all record requests within 30 days of receipt, unless otherwise communicated to the client within 7 days ? Logging into initial psychiatric evaluations 10 minutes of scheduled appointment. In case of emergency notify the front desk. ? Logging into medication management appointments within 5 minutes of the scheduled time. In case of emergency contact the front desk. ? When prescribing controlled substances, NJ PMP will be checked no less than every 90 days. ? Attend a Clinical Team Meeting one time per week for 1 hour Responsibilities Include: ? Performing initial psychiatric evaluations ? Prescribing medications during follow up medication management appointments ? Injection of medications when appropriate ? Case conferencing with Director of Nursing, Clinical Director, and psychiatric staff ? On-Call/After-Hours Phone coverage and availability, as needed ? Refer patients when necessary to the appropriate levels of care Job Type: Full-time Required education: Master?s in Nursing and Post Master?s Program in Advanced Practice Role Required experience: 1 years? experience as APN Proper Knowledge and Skills: Medical Competencies ? Demonstrates sound knowledge of psychopharmacology, prescribing medications, and DEA/CDS regulations ? Demonstrates sound knowledge of ordering and interpreting labwork ? Demonstrates sound knowledge of diagnostic criteria, DSMV, and CPT coding ? Demonstrates sound knowledge of administration and interpretation of Clinical Assessment Tools such as AIMS, PHQ9, Columbia Scale ? Demonstrates sound knowledge of co-occurring disorders ? Demonstrates sound knowledge of Crisis management and assessment/management of suicidal ideation ? Demonstrates sound knowledge of criteria for remaining in outpatient care and appropriate criteria for referring to higher levels of care ? Produces high quality and clinically appropriate documentation in a timely manner Core Competencies ? Proper English and grammar, usage and spelling ? Software application related to the field ? General offices principles and practices ? Basic computer knowledge including email etiquette ? Professional phone and customer service demeanor ? Demonstrate Motivational Interviewing Skills ? Demonstrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy ? Demonstrate Educational Strategies Physical requirements: ? Must be able to lift 20-50 lbs. ? Occasional to frequent walking, sitting, standing, driving ?
