This position requires work onsite in Linthicum, MD.

Responsibilities:
Research and implement new thermal management technologies.
Develop analytical models to predict thermal performance of cryogenic systems
Design, develop and perform testing on thermal systems operating a cryogenic temperatures.
Help to design and develop custom test hardware fixtures and testing facilities.
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors of Science in: Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Structural Engineering, Physics or related field
Working knowledge of thermal analysis software (COMSOL, IcePak, Sinda/Fluint) or similar.
Strong problem solving and analytical skills.
Ability to communicate effectively to team members both verbally and in writing.
Eligibility to obtain and hold a TS/SCI security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Design and analysis experience simulating heat transfer within superconducting circuitry.
Working Knowledge of cryogenic test systems; dilution Refrigeration, 4 kelvin cryo-coolers, Adiabatic Demagnetization Refrigeration (ADR) and liquid helium emersion.
Experience in modeling mechanical structures in; Solidworks, NX or similar.
Ability to adjust to changing priorities and requirements.
Active TS/SCI security clearance.
