The Operations Manager at the Seattle Convention Center is responsible for directly managing operations staff in preparing facilities for live events.

Base Salary Range: $82,500 - $122,500 This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.

The Operations Manager at the Seattle Convention Center is responsible for directly managing operations staff in preparing facilities for live events.
Typical duties could include, but are not limited to:
- Accountable for the set up, troubleshooting, maintenance, operation, and strike of audio visual equipment. Provide direct management of large GS and breakout shows.
- Lead communication with shared services departments (EQL, TRC, Purchasing, HR)
- Lead creation of event paperwork, orders, transfers, and oversee scheduling of team.
- Maintain communication channels with operations, sales, and logistics teams.
- Oversee inventory and upkeep of storage spaces.
- Conduct regular inventories including cycle and consumable counts.
- Be safety conscious. Promote safety with all team members and in every situation.
- Build relationships with the internal and external convention center teams.
- Assist sales team to build client relationships before, during, and after event.
- Mentoring and Training of Center Technician Team, including hiring/firing responsibilities
- Attendance at operations meetings, site visits, and team meetings
- Develop strategy and future planning with National Operations Manager
To be a successful Operations Manager, you must have the following:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 3 years operation of Audio Visual equipment
- Min 2 year supervisory experience
- Min 2 year Project or Production Management experience
