Lumenance is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on HILS engineer with strong communication skills. This is an "open" contract engineering position with Honda R&D.

Lumenance is looking for a self-motivated, hands-on HILS engineer with strong communication skills. This is an "open" contract engineering position with Honda R&D.
You'll be working within an automotive engineering team performing the following:
- Plan and setup of HILS test environments for assigned passenger vehicle systems.
- Create and manage validation plan and test results with HILS system measurements, and constantly seek ways to improve simulation and test quality.
- Interpret electrical schematics and select/configure appropriate HILS I/O.
- Perform some wiring harness fabrication and assist in the debugging of wiring harnesses.
- Analyze design and/or requirements specifications and authoring test specifications to validate them.
- Author robust test scripts using dSPACE Test Automation Framework and dSPACE AutomationDesk software.
- Create models in Matlab/Simulink to support HILS test and/or generate test stimulus data.
- Analyzing test results and troubleshooting/debugging HILS system using dSPACE ControlDesk software, Vector CAN, oscilloscope, etc.
- Manage libraries of test cases, models, and requirements across multiple variations of ECUs and vehicle platforms.
- Create and maintain a knowledge database of test systems, procedures, and best practices.
Requirements
Education
- A 4-year engineering degree in electrical, electronics, mechatronics (or very similar) fields
- Ability to develop and implement HILS-based vehicle validation plans
- Proficient in logic-based control software simulation such as MATLAB/Simulink
- Proficient in Matlab, Vector, and Python scripting
- Able to use dSPACE ControlDesk instruments to trace signals through a Simulink model in order to debug the HILS system.
- Sound understanding of general vehicle systems
- Able to apply standard electrical and mechanical troubleshooting principles
- Working understanding of automotive systems and communications
- Excellent verbal and oral communication skills (English). You'll be coordinating with other team members and developing reports, presentations, etc.
- Independent and self-motivated. You'll have to use sound engineering judgement to support the overall effort.
