Description

We are seeking a Veterinary Medical Director to join our team.

The Veterinary Medical Director's responsibilities and duties include:
  • Leading and growing the team, managing DVM schedules, holding meetings, conducting annual reviews, developing and monitoring compliance protocols
  • Supporting the DVM staff in the personal development of medical and administrative needs
  • Partnering with your Regional Operations Manager and Hospital Leadership to ensure compliance with regulations, assisting with the preparation of annual planning strategies, ensuring financial success and the development of a vision for the growth of the practice
  • Partnering with Hospital Leadership to create a positive teamwork environment in which veterinarians and staff deliver quality medicine and exceptional client service

Our ideal candidate:
  • Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree or equivalent
  • An active veterinary license in the state of TN is preferred, but not required, we will cover state licensure transfer fees
  • Ideally, 5+ years of practice experience
  • Passionate about building and fostering a strong team
  • Positive and effective leadership
  • Ability to manage staff and outcomes with emotional intelligence
  • Commitment to practicing the highest standard of medicine and upholding the veterinary code of ethics
  • Delegation of tasks and achieving results with practice team members
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
