Description:
ControlPoint Technologies is seeking a Lead Protection and Control Engineer to support our Protection & Control Engineering team. This position is available on a Full-Time or Part-Time basis and could be performed remotely depending on the candidates experience and performance.
The position will include project engineering and technical review of projects for electric utility transmission and distribution systems with voltage levels from 5 kV to 345 kV. Candidates must have proven knowledge of electric utility substation protection projects from the planning stages through detailed design and construction.

Qualifications for the role:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
Minimum of 10 years' experience in utility protection and controls design
Professional Engineering (PE) License is preferred
Excellent Verbal and Written Communication Skills

Responsibilities Include:
- Lead projects
- Develop scopes of work, conceptual designs
- Protection and control design including one lines, three lines, AC and DC schematics, panel arrangements, equipment wiring and relay and control panel wiring
- Relay Settings (a plus)
- Prepare equipment specifications
- Provide guidance and mentoring to less experienced team members
- Perform quality assurance reviews
- planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring of work activities, and coordinating design activities with other multi-discipline project team members
- Plan engineering project deliverables with stakeholders
- Strong client focus and customer service.
- Proposal development
- Excellent communication skills
