Job Description
Primary Function:
Responsible for the implementation, maintenance and management of the Nuclear
Quality Programs (ASME Section III, 10 CFR 72, 10 CFR 71, 10CFR50 Appendix B and
Part 21, NQA-1 and MIL-I-45208 with ISR-1E) and Non-nuclear Quality Programs
(ASME Sections I, IV, VIII-1, VIII-2, AISC and ISO) and serve as an internal consultant
for projects under those quality programs.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Maintain and write quality procedures/specifications and provide training related
to quality programs and procedures
Review quality assurance programs and methods on a periodic basis to ensure
efficient operation and compliance with applicable regulations and standards and
reports the status of compliance to management.
Serve as a key contact for audits/inspections and provide responses to those
audits/inspections with the ability to diagnose, report, track and resolve quality
related issues.
Responsible for generation and maintenance of the department budget as well
as the management of all personnel within the Quality Assurance Department
including any field or shop employees (Quality Control).
Initiate non-conformances, corrective actions and perform root cause analysis.
Promote and actively embrace the concept of a collaborative environment, with an
emphasis on customer service, respect and candor. Safety is a cultural value and it
must be promoted and enforced at all times.
Minimum Qualifications/Experience:
Education
Four year degree from a qualified institution; or 10 years related experience and/or
training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must be able to effectively communicate at all levels of the organization with various
personality types.
Additional Desired skills
Experience with Nuclear and Non-nuclear Quality Programs.
Nuclear Lead Auditor
Experience with Quality Control functions (ASME Y14.5, ASNT Examination
Techniques - RT, UT, PT, VT, LT, MT and AWS)
Radiological Safety - NRC License.
