We are accepting applications for the position of Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) SEL and School Culture. All applicants must follow one of the following processes:
Process for Out of District Applicants: Out of district applicants are required to complete an on-line application. All requested documents as indicated in the posting must be uploaded to the application.
Process for District Employees: District employees must complete an on-line administrative application. Employees must login to SearchSoft (PowerSchool) and make sure their application type reflects "administrative." Once an employee's application correctly reflects "administrative, " they are able to apply for a specific position. If an employee does not already have an application in SearchSoft, they will need to create a new user ID and password to apply for the specific position.
Applicants for this position must have the following qualifications and experience:
Master's degree in Educational Leadership, Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or a related field from an accredited college or university
Valid license as a Licensed Specialist in School Psychology (LSSP) by the Texas State Board of Examiners of Psychology (TSBEP)
Minimum three to five (3-5) years' experience working in or with an urban education system with a focus on social, emotional and behavioral supports; five (5) years preferred
Familiarity with SEL strategies (PBIS, CASEL, CHAMPS, Restorative Practices, Tier I/II/III Interventions, etc.)
Experience with collection, monitoring and interpretation of data associated with district behavior and discipline
Experience providing psychological service in school setting
