Description:
The Project Manager provides oversight, leadership, accountability, and project management functions for various sized projects. These projects require a dedicated Project Manager who communicates with the Project Sponsors. These projects will have a 3-year duration and must be on-site, as these are large projects associated with high-risk elements.
The Project Manager will define and scope the project(s) to include methods of accomplishing the work, develop schedules and cost baselines. This must include establishing work activities, milestones and schedules, cost estimates and spending profiles in accordance with customer business processes. The Project Manager will manage the design and construction projects from conception through turnover to operations within the established baseline. Because these projects impact multiple constituents, the PM will also identify/work with engineering and project controls team for successful project completion.
The Project Manager will lead projects through multiple stage gates & supporting the development of long-range project planning & development, project budgeting, cost controls, project scheduling, operational support, etc. The Manager will support the full life cycle of projects including multiple project phases and develop deliverables over the duration of the project lifecycle. The Project Manager may work with multiple 3rd party vendors such as engineering support, equipment vendors, and other contractors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Proactively participates in processes and makes recommendations for system refinements within the Project Management Office.
- Support Planning Sessions as documentation lead and/or workstream lead.
- Provides clear direction on project requirements to meet expectations of customers and business stakeholders.
- Interacts through program and/or project updates and reviews with all levels of management.
- Drives implementation of projects by establishing strategy, schedules, budgets, and financial analysis.
- Drives use of Project Management Methodology throughout projects.
- Approves team deliverables for project completion.
- Leads team in risk management approaches and systems.
- Makes decisions regarding the appropriate risk when there is substantial project or program impact.
Education, Skills, and Abilities Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Master's Degree Preferred)
- PM Certification
- Proficient with MS Office Suite to include Primavera.
- 5 -10 Years of experience (preferably in construction management) that includes planning, organizing, performing, supervising, tracking, and reporting of projects.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Adaptability and initiative to manage, and prioritize work related to project and turnaround execution.
- Ability to work under pressure in an environment which expects the highest levels of customer services, confidentiality, and ethical behavior.
