Midland Health is seeking an Interface Engineer to work on activities related to data integration and transformation in a healthcare environment. Understand data flow, HL7v2, and data transformation using Mirth Connect. Own various integration efforts as needed. Design, build, code, and maintain scalable interfaces between different messaging structures and related healthcare applications. Work with various internal and external teams and serve as a subject matter expert for Mirth Connect and data transformation. Develop and update processes and procedures for new and existing systems integrations and data transformations. Will have in-depth knowledge of ADT, ORM, and ORU messages.

SHIFT AND SCHEDULE
Full Time: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PERFORMANCE EXPECTATIONS
- Assist with leading the architecture and implementation of Mirth Connect channels to perform data integration and transformation for Midland Health's healthcare interoperability solution
- Assist in the mapping and running of processes related to the delivery, support, and operability of the solution
- Function as both the internal and external facing subject matter expert for Mirth Connect, HL7v2, sFTP, and customer systems integrations
- Map and transform healthcare data from disparate sources (databases, EMR systems, financial systems) to the needed standard
- Participate in the full software development life cycle from requirements analysis through test, release, and maintenance
- Collaborate with Project Management to ensure accurate delivery of project requirements and compliance with standards, code quality and accepted conventions
- Document and demonstrate solutions by developing documentation, flowcharts, layouts, diagrams, charts, code comments and clear code
- Troubleshoot connection issues and other complications
- Experience with HL7 FHIR desired
- Design, architect, and support a secure, reliable data integration and transmission environment, following HIPAA compliance and other industry standards
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- A minimum of 5 years of healthcare data integration and implementation experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Informatics, or related field
- Expertise with Mirth Connect and the ability to develop custom, scalable channels for integration
- Self-motivated, analytical, and a creative problem solver with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision and communicate in an effective manner
- Ability to maintain confidentiality with sensitive customer and internal information
- Strong technical aptitude and ability to research and solve complex issues independently
