Position Summary:

The position's primary responsibility will be to analyze day-to-day issues of various departments within an FCM and provide application-based solutions to those issues. This will require a sound knowledge of the inner workings of various departments within an FCM. The position will be heavily involved with the midrange back-office system as well as middle-office products. The position will require testing, change implementation and after-hours support of all applications managed by the department. A professional demeanor, customer service attitude, and commitment to working in a team environment are essential to this position.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for analysis, testing and change implementations for all aspects of the middle and back-office applications managed by Clearing Systems.
  • Provide after-hours support and troubleshooting for all aspects of the middle and back-office applications. This will include weekends and holidays.
  • Provide system administration duties for middle and back-office applications managed by Clearing Systems.
  • Provide application support for development projects and production applications supporting internal and external customers.
  • Document and implement support and operational procedures and standards as required.
  • Responsible for self-managing the internal and external deliverables for projects that you are either participating in or leading.


Qualifications:
  • Experience with support of Windows Server and desktop applications, along with their supporting databases, is required. This includes proficiency with SQL queries as part of support and troubleshooting activities.
  • Experience with general computer networking concepts and message-based systems integration.
  • Support of FCM Back Office applications, GMI or equivalent, is strongly desired.
  • Support of FCM Middle Office applications, including the ATEO suite of products or equivalent applications, is desired.
  • Technical experience with IBM iSeries is strongly desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years FCM or broader Financial Services (Exchange-Listed Derivatives) industry experience.
  • Experience within a Securities brokerage is desired.
  • Experience working in a professional manner with internal stakeholders, external customers, management, and vendors.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills required, both written and verbal.
