Job Description

The University of Alabama at Birmingham, Heersink School of Medicine, Department of Medicine Division of Endocrinology, Diabetes, & Metabolism seeks applicants committed to an academic career with responsibilities in teaching, clinical services and clinical and/or laboratory based research. Appointments will be at the assistant, associate or full professor level, tenure earning, tenured or non-tenure earning, commensurate with experience. Applicants must have an MD or pertinent PhD degree. Physicians must be board certified or board eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Candidates are sought with emphasis on clinical care or laboratory based research, particularly in areas of diabetes, metabolism, bone and/or general endocrinology. The Division enjoys a strong clinical endocrinology presence within a major academic medical center and robust medical education and research programs.

Required Qualifications

MD, DO or pertinent PhD degree. Physician candidates must be Board Certified or Board Eligible in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism. Licensed or license eligible by the Alabama Board of Medical Examiners
