Job Summary

The Program Manager (PM), Community Health Innovations (CHI), develops and implements work plans and manages grants and projects to achieve overall CHW intervention and research goals. This includes creating project plans, hiring, training, and supervising staff, protocol/content development and implementation, managing and maintaining Internal Review Board (IRB) approval (as needed), managing staff allocations and scheduling, fidelity to protocols, tracking project milestones and timelines, quality assurance, overseeing data collection and evaluation of projects, reporting, and budget management. Additionally, the position provides mentoring and support to SUHI CHWs, CHW program coordinators, and CHW supervisors.

The PM leads and participates in grant, manuscript and report writing, and disseminates findings and lessons learned. The PM serves as a technical advisor to others at SUHI/Sinai Chicago (Sinai) and outside organizations (academic health centers and partners, health plans, health systems, community-based organizations, etc.) who want to implement CHW-led interventions and trainings. The position substantially contributes to CHW intervention development and integration into Sinai, CROWD (Center for CHW Research, Outcomes and Workforce Development), and the CHI strategy's overall growth and development.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: (including but not limited to)
Oversees all assigned intervention or training activities and is responsible for developing a work plan to achieve project goals
Supports project management processes and methodologies to ensure projects are delivered on-time and within budget, adhering to high quality standards and meeting key project milestones
Develops a working knowledge of qualitative data and epidemiological concepts as needed to implement specific project activities
Manages assigned grant(s), includes budget management, invoicing, and grant reporting
Significantly contributes to the development and planning of SUHI's programs, research, and business development
Provides leadership to the organizational development of SUHI's programs and SUHI as a whole

WHAT YOU WILL NEED:
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in public health or a related field and five years of related experience, preferably in a health care or public health setting working with communities to improve population health and well-being, OR a bachelor's degree plus 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably in a health care or public health setting, working with communities to improve population health and well-being
Considerable experience planning, implementing and evaluating trainings and/or community-based interventions
Ability to supervise staff in the completion of multiple projects within tight budget and time constraints
Strong organizational and project management skills
Demonstrated commitment to racial and health equity
