10/08/2024DESCRIPTION: The Director of Enterprise and Data Services is responsible for leading the district's enterprise systems, data services, and application development teams. This role oversees the management and integration of key enterprise platforms, including the Infinite Campus student information system, district-wide applications, and data management solutions. The Director ensures that all technology services align with the district's strategic goals and deliver high-quality applications and support to educators, administrators, students, and parents.

SALARY: Admin/Professional/Technical Pay Schedule, Range 13, starting at $9,376.83 per month (equivalent to $112,522 annually), depending on recent relevant experience. 8 hours per day, Monday through Friday, 260 day / 12 month work schedule. Position eligible for benefits.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Leadership & Strategy
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for enterprise systems and data services in alignment with the district's goals.
  • Lead and mentor teams, including the Infinite Campus student management team, the developer team, and the enterprise application teams.
  • Collaborate with district leadership to ensure technology initiatives support educational objectives.
Enterprise Systems Management
  • Oversee the management, support, and continuous improvement of the district's enterprise systems, including Infinite Campus.
  • Ensure integration and interoperability between enterprise systems and other district applications.
  • Manage vendor relationships and contracts related to enterprise applications and services.
Data Services & Analytics
  • Lead the development and management of district-wide data systems, including data warehousing, reporting, and analytics platforms.
  • Ensure data governance and security practices are in place and adhered to across the district.
  • Provide data insights and analytics to support decision-making across all levels of the district.
Application Development & Integration
  • Oversee the application development lifecycle, ensuring high-quality, secure, and scalable software solutions are delivered on time.
  • Manage the integration of third-party applications and services to enhance district operations.
  • Ensure all developed and integrated applications meet the district's standards and compliance requirements.
Team Management & Professional Development
  • Supervise and provide leadership to the enterprise and data services teams.
  • Promote professional growth and development opportunities for team members.
  • Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment.
Budget, Procurement, & Resource Management
  • Develop and manage the budget for enterprise and data services, ensuring efficient use of resources.
  • Oversee the procurement, licensing, and lifecycle management of all enterprise software, ensuring compliance with district policies and legal requirements.
  • Identify and pursue funding opportunities, including grants, to support technology initiatives.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILL AND/OR ABILITY REQUIRED:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Data Management, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 10 years in IT management, with experience in enterprise systems, data services, and application development. Previous experience in a K12 environment is preferred.
  • Must pass Colorado and Federal Bureau of Investigation background check.
  • Expertise in managing and integrating enterprise applications like Infinite Campus.
  • Proficiency in data security, warehousing, and using analytics for decision-making.
  • Experience in overseeing the software development lifecycle and integrating third-party services.
  • Knowledge of software procurement, licensing agreements, and vendor management.
  • Strong abilities in planning, executing, and managing IT projects and budgets.
  • Proven skills in leading, mentoring, and developing diverse technical teams.
  • Ability to align IT initiatives with district goals and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
  • Understanding of K12 educational needs, IT governance, and legal compliance
