This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience to advance Leidos business opportunities supporting the Navy customer and the Navy mission. In this role, you'll work across Sectors, driving a focus of how Leidos technology can meet the Navy's challenges today and in the future. Key technology focus areas include Digital Modernization and IT, Software systems and mission capabilities, and Defense platforms.
This position will report to the Navy and Marine Corps IT Growth Lead. The position is hybrid in terms of location but will require adequate customer interaction on-site to fulfill job duties. Travel is anticipated up to 25% of the time.
The Account Manager will drive the organization's strategic growth objectives and partner with our operations teams to ensure mission success. Primary focus will be to establish and cultivate long-term relationships with our Navy customers and mission partners to ensure we are meeting needs through current service delivery and identifying emerging needs.
Duties will include helping to maintain a high level of customer satisfaction, achieving strategic objectives, and growing market penetration. The Account Manager will also serve as the primary interface for specific initiatives and offerings. The candidate must collaborate with BD, technical, and program management personnel to ensure the best solutions are promoted to meet mission needs. Requires ability to communicate with senior executive leadership (internally or client) regarding matters of strategic importance to the organization. The selected candidate will utilize expert domain knowledge, professional principles and theories to develop advanced concepts, techniques, solutions and standards.

Primary Responsibilities
- Primary interface for Navy strategic growth initiatives and escalation support point for service delivery issues
- Identify emerging opportunities and gaps within Navy services; engage with BD team to determine how to fill gaps via existing contracts or new pursuits
- Identify and establish relationships to advance Leidos presence across the Navy in targeted areas including development of call plans for key opportunities
- Collaborate with BD, technical (on-program and Leidos CTO), and program management to create tailored solutions for the Navy
- Provide input and help execute Sector specific strategic plans within the Navy customer set
- Prepare strategy to action roadmaps and facilitate timely execution
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 15+ years of prior relevant experience or Master's with 10 - 13 years or prior relevant experience. Additional years of related experience, training, and/or certification may be substituted in lieu of a degree.
- Proven history of establishing relationships with different levels of Government leadership up to SES/GO level
- Successful execution of complex initiatives / projects from initiation to completion
- Experience collaborating across functional teams to achieve objectives
- Working knowledge of DoD/Navy contracting, budgeting and acquisitions
- Knowledge of DoD/Navy technology environment, regulations, and directives
- Prior DoD/Navy or military experience
- Hold DoD Secret security clearance
- Ability to travel as needed up to 25% of the time
