Accountability:
Plans and directs all field service teams for all service activities to achieve business financial sales plan, yet with the highest quality and superb customer service. Collaborates with cross-functional teams to maintain efficiency on aftermarket service activities.

Scope and Responsibilities:
  • Essential duties include, but are not limited to the following:
  • Proactively attains a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
  • May review estimates for aftermarket service work during the proposal phase
  • Provides onsite support of cross functional teams, such as, Assembly, Installation, Engineering, Bid & Proposal, Operations, Project Management and Sales to ensure the customer requirements are met.
  • Plans, organizes and directs the activities of the various service departments to achieve on-time deliveries and meet customer requirements.
  • Develops and implements specific procedures and programs which use innovative and creative approaches to service methods resulting in reduced costs.
  • Interfaces with senior management, customers, sales, engineering, procurement, and other manufacturing personnel in attainment of objectives.
  • Develops a highly motivated, adequately staffed and well-trained workforce, while adhering to company policies. Establishes and maintains succession plan for all levels within departments reporting to this position.
  • Coordinates with the Engineering group to support the service operations, by developing common work instructions for assembly and installation or providing technical assistance as required,
  • Directly responsible for cost center budget creation, ongoing expense management, and personnel levels to support the business revenue plans to meet growth and productivity goals.
  • Directly responsible for staff, human resource activities related to annual performance reviews, goal setting, vacation management, career development plans, etc.

Education/Certification:
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or a minimum of five (5) years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Experience:
Five to seven years related experience.

Skills:
  • Proficient in all MS software programs; SAP systems.
  • Ability to understand financial impacts.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and motivate people in front of large groups.
  • Technical understanding of the products produced by FMSI and with basic understanding of how the products are assembled, tested and installed.
  • Ability to analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, customers, and outside associations.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions provided in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
