Leidos Defense Systems currently has an opening for a Software and Systems Architect supporting the Threat Systems Development Branch in Huntsville, AL within the Aerospace Systems Group. This is an exciting opportunity to use your experience in systems architecture and development for advanced modeling systems that provide critical information to customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
The candidate will work with and maintain common libraries across multiple repositories; develop, test, and document critical software components and in-house tools; and manage software versioning during codebase development and release cycles. The candidate will be able to work well both individually and, in a team setting. He or she will work under a sprint-based workflow and participate during routine review sessions.

Pay Range: Pay Range $65,000.00 - $117,500.00

Basic Qualifications:
- BS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Software Engineering from an ABET accredited program is required.
- Must have 2+ years of relevant experience.
- Experience with C++, C# .NET Development is required.
- Must have background with Software testing and analysis from education.
- ATLASSIAN (Bitbucket, Confluence, JIRA) and Git experience and understanding is required.
- Visual Studio and version control.
- Strong technical communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a collaborative environment.
- Candidate will live in Huntsville or be willing to relocate to Huntsville Alabama area
- US Citizenship required and eligibility to obtain and maintain secret level clearance
Desired Skills:
- Radar/Signal Processing principals.
- Object Oriented Programming.
- SOLID Design Principals.
- Familiarity in any of the following tools is preferred but not required:
- Technical Documentation
- WIN32 and LINUX OS
- Wireshark
