Minimum Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required, Master's degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years related experience in medical device industry.
  • 3-5 years of experience in medical device contracting and/or national account management.
  • Extensive experience working with IDN's and GPO's in the US.
  • Demonstrated success at driving revenue growth through IDN and GPO contract negotiation and management.
  • Strong relationships and references in key IDN's and GPO's.
  • Fluency in and medical terminology.
  • Strong understanding of reimbursement and medical insurance including Medicare, Medicaid and Commercial
  • Demonstrated leadership and change management skills.
  • Track record of delivering results through a collaborative style.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute strategic sales plans.
  • Highly developed organizational and planning skills.
  • Knowledgeable in the reimbursement and appeals processes, and regarding medical policy.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to present and articulate effectively to individuals on all levels.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
  • Capable of "wearing numerous hats" typically required within an emerging company.

Job Requirements
  • Initially, work with GPO Consultant to prioritize IDN, RCP and GPO opportunities that meet BioStem's strategic goals.
  • Drive revenue growth and access by negotiating and implementing contractual agreements with key regional buying groups, IDN's, multi-hospital systems and GPO's.
  • Work with Commercial Team to identify and execute strategies to grow product and drive compliance within contractual relationships; identify and create value add solutions and deliverables
  • Develop, deliver, and execute plans to drive revenue growth within existing contracted business
  • Coordinate and schedule quarterly business reviews with targeted groups and contracted systems, to ensure that compliance and business objectives of agreements are being met and to grow the business relationship.
  • Develop and foster relationships with key stakeholders and decision makers within key contracted and targeted entities.
  • Prepare, analyze, negotiate and implement contract solutions, terms, conditions, compliance and metrics.
  • Attend meetings and business reviews in coordination with BioStem Leadership with larger regional groups or key accounts.
  • Responsible for start-to-finish bid management - RFP's, bid planning, analysis, contract negotiation, and implementation. Ensure timely and complete bid and proposal development and delivery.
  • Support the coordination of sales activities with Field Sales Organization as it relates to pricing and contracting in order to drive revenue, reduce risk of revenue and margin loss, and maximize business potential.
  • Support development of the Field Sales Organization regarding sales and contracting with hospital customers through education on the contracting process and guidance in processing approvals.
  • Assist and support other employees, teams and sales personnel as necessary.
  • Position reports to Chief Commercial Officer.

Compensation Information

  • Base: $150k-$180k
  • Variable: $50k
  • Total Comp: $200-$230k

  • Acceptable Candidate Location: Must live close to an airport, ideally EST
  • Travel requirements: 50%-60% Travel
