Position Overview:

The Collections Lead will lead a collection team to achieve company objectives through coaching, guidance, motivation, counseling, and development to effectively use telephone collection procedures and techniques, and optimally utilize all the collection tools available to collection.

As the Collections Lead you will:
Lead and supervisor Collectors by ensuring collection timelines are followed, monitoring the timeframe between customer contacts and analyzing collector's quality of work.
Review and approve various transactions for waivers, charge offs, adjustments, miscellaneous write-offs and payment schedule change requests
Continually ensure procedures and workflows remain relevant and are within regulatory compliance.
Participate in formal meetings with the AP/AR Manager to ensure employees are compliance with SIMCO's policies and procedures.
Conduct monthly account reviews and telephone monitoring to provide direction and

coaching to the Collectors.
Coordinate and monitor Collector phone availability to ensure that the team provides

excellent service for incoming calls.
Actively collect on high-risk delinquent accounts and handle incoming calls from customers to offer assistance and information.
Respond to customers questions and complaints to provide excellence in service and improve customer retention

The qualified candidate will have experience with the following:
High School Diploma
A minimum of 15 years of experience with credit / collections procedures or practice

The preferred candidate will have experience with the following:
Ability to motivate and develop a team, utilizing strong leadership and mentoring skills
Demonstrate the ability to analyze and make sound, data driven, risk-based decisions
Possess strong written and verbal communication skills
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and meet critical deadlines
Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Excel or

equivalent software
