Provides direction to all members of the Engineering Group within assigned Division by providing development opportunities for subordinates, managing workload of the department, and establishing standards and procedures to effectively serve internal and external customers.

Physical Requirements:
This position is typically located in an office setting and requires sitting and standing for long periods of time. The position requires ambulatory skills sufficient to travel domestically and internationally. Requires good hand-eye coordination, arm, hand and finger dexterity, including ability to grasp, visual acuity to use a keyboard, and operate standard office equipment. Requires the ability to express or exchange ideas by means of both verbal and written communication. Ability to frequently manipulate (lift, carry, move) up to 50 pounds.

Essential Functions/Key Accountabilities:
- Follow direction provided by Global Director of Engineering.
- Maintain a safe working environment by adhering to, and enforcing, all safety procedures and policies inside and outside the facility, including use of personal protective and McLanahan equipment as required.
- Represent McLanahan Corporation in a positive manner both internally and externally while adhering to the organizations core values.
- Communicate effectively with co-workers, management, customers, and others in a courteous and professional manner.
- Directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organizations policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding and correcting employees behavior, addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Provides oversight to all engineering activities within Division or business unit.
- Assist with the preparation of review of proposal documentation, technical data such as qualification test procedures, acceptance test procedures, reports, etc.
- Manage workload/resources of engineering department so as to ensure all activities are accomplished in a timely manner while controlling human capital expenses.
- Use computer assisted drafting equipment and software.
- Develop, document, communicate and maintain drawing, record retention and other engineering standards.
- Evaluate and approve design changes, specifications, and drawing releases.
- Oversee fabrication, assemble and be available for questions from shop floor regarding prints and other specifications called out.
- Travel to job sites as required to trouble-shoot, inspect, repair and oversee equipment.
- Support sales meetings and attend trade shows as required.
Educational/Other Requirements:
- Bachelors Degree in Engineering, or related field preferred.
- Seven (7) years of experience.
- Preferred Profession Engineer Licensing, but not required.
- Experience with jaw and cone crushers, impactors, and screening equipment required.
- Computer literacy including MS Office applications.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to rely on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
- Ability to successfully reach company goals in an environment in which a wide degree of creativity and latitude is required.
