Introduction
The Office of the Commonwealth's Attorney for Prince William County, Cities of Manassas & Manassas Park is looking for an experienced prosecutor for the position of Deputy Chief of Staff.
ABOUT THE ROLE:
As part of the executive leadership team, this position assists the Chief of Staff with organizing and prioritizing critical issues needed to be addressed by the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office. Duties also include providing oversight and guidance to line attorneys; handling dockets and case assignments in all levels of court; and representing the Commonwealth's Attorney's Office in civic minded activities within the community we serve.
MINIMUM EDUCATION, TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS
Juris Doctorate degree and 4 years of related experience.
PREFERENCES
Position requires a Juris Doctorate degree and ten or more years of related experience. The selected applicant must: be able to work both independently and collaboratively in an office that values civility, initiative, sound judgment and skilled advocacy.
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
Must be a member of the Virginia State Bar in good standing
NOTE: This is an at-will position which serves at the pleasure of the Commonwealth's Attorney. Please attach a resume and cover letter to the attention of the Honorable Amy Ashworth, Commonwealth's Attorney.
STARTING SALARY RANGE: $137,275 to $145,000.00 Annually
Prince William County Government offers medical plans with corresponding pharmacy and basic vision coverage, as well as dental plans and a separate vision plan.
Full-time and part-time Prince William County Government employees are eligible to participate in our plans; however, the level and cost of benefits depends on the classification of the position.
