Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at LIT Workshop in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess a strong attention to detail, as well as a detailed understanding of the QA/QC process. The candidate should have experience building a QMS from the ground up, including the writing of the QA Manual and all involved inspection processes and documentation.

Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager
Overview
We are seeking a Manufacturing Quality Assurance Manager to join our team at LIT Workshop in Portland, OR. The ideal candidate will have experience in a manufacturing environment and possess a strong attention to detail, as well as a detailed understanding of the QA/QC process. The candidate should have experience building a QMS from the ground up, including the writing of the QA Manual and all involved inspection processes and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Write an maintain company Quality Assurance Manual, and ensure certification by outside vendors.
- Lead the QA department in inspecting assemblies and components, including welds, machined parts, etc.
- Experience in drafting and implementing inspection procedures for electrical, plumbing, structural, welding, and other assemblies
- Inspect incoming materials and subassemblies to ensure products match certifications and production prints
- Organize and collect material certifications
- Communicate with the shop floor and engineers to ensure products meet compliance
- Identify calibration equipment needed for inspections
- Utilize calipers and micrometers to perform quality inspections on products
- Use ERP software to track and document quality control data
- Read and interpret blueprints to ensure products meet specifications
- Assist in process development to improve overall product quality
- Conduct quality inspections throughout the manufacturing process
- Regular onsite attendance is required
- Other duties as assigned by manager
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in QA/QC Management required
- Document creation and control experience required.
- Physically manuever the manufacturing floor conducting inspections required.
- Experience in pre-fab housing/construction industry preferred
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints
- Proficiency in written and verbal communication
- Manufacturing experience required

- Blueprint Reading
