HealthPartners is hiring a Business System Analyst Payroll. They will act as systems administrator for one or more applications which may include API, Kronos, etc. They maintain employee information, schedules and pay practices and best practices for applications. API/Kronos systems are enterprise-wide Time & Attendance systems and are critical to the organizations operations and employee satisfaction. The system administrator is the expert on system functionality, employee maintenance, security set-ups and reporting. This role will work with business areas to implement and set-up both Time & Attendance and Staff Scheduling using best practices, policies and collective bargaining agreements. They are responsible for developing, maintaining, and analyzing reports that increase efficiency of customers that will supply data, information, options and solutions from Time & Attendance and Staff Scheduling systems.

ACCOUNTABILITIES:

Provides superior support to customers.

Leads coordination of training on the Time & Attendance, Staff Scheduling systems for end users.

Troubleshoots questions and problems reported by end users; resolves through training and/or other appropriate solutions.

Proactively identifies and works with team to address chronic end user system issues.

May manage security access for certain applications. Adds/deletes users and assigns roles as appropriate to end users.

Serves as a subject matter expert to managers and team members regarding the systems.

Develops and assists in the continuous improvement of the system to facilitate accurate and timely use of the system.

Participates in the development of training tools/materials for end users on system operations. Conducts training for employees and leaders on the systems.

Implement Time & Attendance and/or Staff Scheduling

Works with business areas to identify rules and configuration needed for applications

Completes configurations of applications as needed to ensure best practices, compliance with policies and Collective Bargaining Agreements, if applicable.

Complete testing and validation process to ensure successful implementation

Troubleshoot and resolve any issues using innovative ideas

Works with business to establish and create training materials for applications as needed

Leads the analysis of system functionality and development of new rule proposals.

Audits system capabilities for accuracy, integrity and functionality by performing system testing; monitoring and documenting test results; analyzing test results and documenting system discrepancies; ensures adherence to HR/PR policies and practices.

Analyzes existing code and client specific rules to match relevant pay practices.

Understands current rule limitations and impact on future proposed pay practices.

Writes technical documentation for new functionality or rule proposals with understanding of the impact on current systems.

Liaison between IS&T and other internal departments and outside vendors regarding system products and business needs.

Performs key technical functions in the implementation of system upgrades and new applications.

Assesses new modules, upgrades and changes for potential implementation.

Determines and defines all interface specifications needs between applications.

Provides input to the timing and coordination of upgrades and new functionality.

Provides technical support for new applications.

Writes test scenarios/scripts for upgrades and new applications.

Performs testing for system upgrades and changes.

Creates and formulizes regression testing plans.

Identifies business users for testing and approves and validates testing process.

Develops, maintains, and provides regular reports to end users and customer groups.

Initiates the generation of new reports utilizing Microsoft Visual Studio Report Designer, Lawson Query Wizard and other report writing tools.

Analyzes report data to provide recommendations and identify key trends as needed.

Maintains, modifies and distributes reports according to business needs in a timely manner.

Performs ad hoc reporting.

Creates and distributes reports.

Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's Degree in related field

2-3 years Data analyst and/or business analyst experience or related work experience.

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite of products

Ability to present a variety of data elements in graphical and presentation form including experience with pivot tables

Proficient in downloading and manipulating files in Excel

Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy

Strong mathematical and analytical skills essential

Organizational skills and ability to handle multiple priorities and ability to set priorities and complete assignments with minimal supervision

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

Experience with API/Kronos

SQL Reporting experience

Previous work experience in the Payroll department of a medium to large organization.

Previous work experience working with API or other similar time and attendance systems
