Product Safety and Compliance Lead

Winnebago Industries is seeking a Product Safety & Compliance Lead to join our team based in Eden Prairie, MN. This role is hybrid. The Product Safety Leader is key leadership position establishing, managing, and monitoring critical safety and compliance processes for the company. You will be responsible for working across multiple brands and functions within Winnebago Industries (Engineering, Service, Quality at all brands).

Key Areas of Responsibility

• Oversee and mature Field Action Decision Making procedure at all brands including all record keeping, communications (including executive level) and report outs
• Formalize and Lead Recall Execution process at all brands including report outs
• Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with engineering, service, quality, operations leaders at all brands
• Support New Product Development with product safety and compliance matters including feedback/corrective actions from Field Action Decision Making procedure
• Develop and oversee process for recall reporting and EWR/TREAD reporting
• Lead response and support of NHTSA and/or Transport Canada inquiries
• Develop and conduct enterprise-wide training on product safety procedures and best practices
• Assist in technical investigations of potential field issues, as necessary.
• Research and summarize product safety and compliance regulations as necessary
• Other duties as assigned based on business need

Education & Experience

• 4-year degree preferred; Engineering degree or other technical degree preferred
• 10+ years of engineering and/or product safety experience
• Technical aptitude required and experience with motorized equipment preferred
• Experience using various data analytics software (minimum must be proficient in Excel)
• Ability to travel up to 20%
