Position Title: Financial Business Insights Analyst

Reports To: Director of Financial Planning & Analysis

Position Description:

Analyzes data to identify trends, key indicators, patterns, and insights to help business leaders make the best decisions.

Essential Functions and Duties:

• Develop a strategic reporting and analysis cadence for City BBQ systems including but not limited to operations and guest business insights systems, including CrunchTime, InMoment, and other business intelligence tools.
• Administer the weekly, period, QTD and YTD reporting for Operations Scorecard and Business Review, providing strategic data driven insights, and recommendations to help make well informed business decisions. These insights will be holistic in view and not limited to a financial standpoint.

• Perform weekly, monthly and quarterly trend analysis for the company and business units including sales, purchasing patterns, daypart analysis, product mix, product actual vs. theoretical variance and labor modeling.
• Interpret results using various statistical and analytical techniques and tools, then synthesize those results into actionable insights, working closely with Operations and Marketing teams to communicate financial reporting and analysis in a way that teams will understand.
• Analyze and support business unit forecasts and plans and provide insight to historical variations, assisting and training managers on weekly forecasting and effect on business key performance indicators.

• Facilitate routine meetings with Market Leaders and teammates in the field to analyze performance and make plans to improve or maintain desired results., providing decision support related to cost management opportunities and customer product/pricing rationale.

• Uses market research and statistical methodologies and tools to perform analysis.

• Serve as a conduit between the field and FPA that fosters communication, mutual respect, and collaboration to achieve systems improvement, decrease workplace stress, effective program implementation and improved results.
• Work with department heads as a key member on cross-functional teams to identify, create, evaluate, and revise operational procedures that add strategic value to the company's growth.
• Work collaboratively with new system deployment and implementation projects to ensure return on investment is understood and achieved.
• Mentor and encourage individuals to give their full potential while developing a teammate's ability to contribute ROI to bottom-line performance.

• Position eligible to work remotely but must live in a current City Barbeque market.

• Experience with Power BI, CDP systems, Business Intelligence (BI) analysis and presentation tools.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or another related field.
• Demonstrated positive work ethic, work experience, proficiency and financial acumen in a high-growth, rapidly evolving environment.
• 4+ years in comparable financial analysis role.
• Restaurant experience preferred.
