Position Summary:
Responsible for the origination and relationship management of a sound and growing loan and deposit portfolio that will provide maximum profitability to the bank with a minimum of risk. This high contact position requires the ability to initiate and develop prospective and current client relationships through a proactive and professional sales approach. Experienced loan officer who has the ability to handle complex commercial loan Customers.
Primary Responsibilities:
Applies product and service knowledge to effectively meet customer and/or prospect banking needs. Solicits and develops new loan and deposit business to meet or exceed annual production goals. Collects and analyzes financial data of moderate and complex customers and/or prospects to determine credit worthiness and develop an appropriate loan structure. Determines approval or rejection of loan applications in accordance with bank policy and communicate same to applicant. Negotiates terms including costs, collateral requirements, repayment methods and rates to successfully obtain new business and retain existing customers. Monitors loan repayment and assist in collection or coordination of payments to minimize delinquency and meet bank standards. Conducts periodic customer meetings to enhance customer retention and assist with the annual review process. Maintains professional communication and conduct with all clients, prospects and associates. Cross sells additional bank services, making recommendations for customer consideration and referring leads to Consumer, Investment, and Mortgage Sales Associates. Uses all available resources to provide value-added advice and/or recommendations for the potential improvement of customer's business operations, productivity, etc., as appropriate. Meets and/or exceeds all individual sales goals, while assisting the Business Banking Team in accomplishing its Strategic Business Plan and Budget. Maintains and promotes a superior level of professional customer service and Team Member relations at all times. Proactively provides solutions and resolves customer concerns and requests. Actively participates in community organizations and events to increase the bank's visibility and image in order to build a solid referral network. Participates in professional organizations to enhance further personal development. Undertakes special projects and/or assignments relating to the Business Banking Group and the bank.

Qualifications:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
