Live events are back, and we are busier than ever! Due to some recent growth, we are looking to add an Assistant Controller to our Accounting & Finance team. You will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of our financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, optimizing internal controls, and providing insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision-making. With your strong accounting expertise and leadership skills, you will be instrumental in safeguarding our financial health and propelling our growth trajectory.

You will report directly to the Global Controller and be based out of Nth Degree's corporate office in Duluth GA. We do function in a hybrid capacity; typically, two days in the office, three days remote.

What You'll Do:
  • Management of the accuracy of the month-end close and financial statement preparations.
  • Manage external audits.
  • Inspection and improvements to policies and procedures currently in place.
  • Assistance in tax returns.
  • Assist in management of day-to-day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cost accounting, general ledger.
  • Coordinate the annual audit of consolidated financial statements.
  • Assist in the preparation of consolidated financial statements on a monthly basis.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts on a monthly basis.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards, federal taxes and state taxes.
  • Contribute to the budgeting and forecasting processes.
  • Monitor and analyze financial data trends and budget variances to provide recommendations for improvement.

Who You Are:
  • Business degree required, CPA preferred or advanced degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of accounting experience with 5 of those in a managerial capacity
  • Oversee the employee expense report process, fixed asset accounting, and intercompany transfer pricing policies.
  • Lead a high-performing finance team by providing guidance to team members and supporting new initiatives.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and efficiency within the company.
  • Proven experience in a similar role
  • Strong understanding of cost accounting principles applicable
  • Proficient in financial software and ERP systems
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work individually, within a multi-disciplinary team, as well as with external partners and vendors.
  • Effectively present results to key stakeholders.
  • Drive accurate and timely financial close.
