The College of Health Sciences at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for a principal faculty member for the physician assistant program offering a Master of Medical Science degree. This is a 12-month, tenure track faculty position.

All principal faculty report to the chair/program director of the PA program. The Baldwin Wallace University PA Program matriculated its first class in 2013 and currently accepts 35 students annually. It is a 24-month program with highlights that include a cadaveric dissection lab, interdisciplinary experiences, and ultrasound training. The program enjoys strong, positive interpersonal relationships amongst the faculty, current students, and alumni. We are seeking qualified individuals that will contribute to a positive and professional environment.

Job Description:
The College of Health Sciences at Baldwin Wallace University invites applications for a principal faculty member for the physician assistant program offering a Master of Medical Science degree. This is a 12-month, tenure track faculty position.
Primary responsibilities include:
- Serve as a course director and content area instructor in appropriate areas of the clinical and didactic curriculum
- Assist in the development and maintenance of syllabi and course learning outcomes and instructional objectives for didactic courses
- Collaborate with all members of the program to oversee the development and implementation of the program's didactic and clinical curriculum in accordance with ARC-PA Standards
- Assist in coordinating, reviewing, and revising academic policies and procedures
- Participate in the evaluation and revision of curricular changes and continuous ongoing program assessment in compliance with ARC-PA Standards
- Advising and mentoring students
- Participate in the review, revision, and implementation of the program's mission, goals, and competencies
Additional program responsibilities include:
- Assisting in the interview and admissions process
- Participation in OSCEs and skills checks during the didactic year
- Participation in programmatic events such as White Coat ceremony, graduation, orientation, and admission events/open houses
- Participation in service committees at the level of the program, school, or university
Minimum job qualifications:
- NCCPA certification
- 3 or more years of full-time clinical experience as a PA-C
- Master's degree or higher
Preferred qualifications:
- 1-2 years or more of graduate medical education experience
- Licensure or eligibility for Ohio licensure as a physician assistant
- Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office products, ie. Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Ability to learn new computer software (Examples include: eValue, ExamSoft, etc.)
