POSITION SUMMARY:
This highly motivated Scientist or Senior Scientist will develop and apply state-of-the-art proteomics technologies to address compelling questions in biology, chemistry and translational medicine to support progression of drug discovery programs. Your team is responsible for drug discovery and biomarker discovery/validation in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.

Your team is responsible for drug discovery and biomarker discovery/validation in neurodegenerative diseases and cancer.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Spearhead proteomic investigations of global expression, post-translational modifications, and protein-protein proximity.
- Operate, maintain, and optimize Bruker timsTOF mass spectrometers and associated liquid chromatography equipment.
- Conduct DIA, DDA, and targeted MS analyses and present results and interpretations to the team.
- Mentor research associates and collaborate closely with analytical biochemistry, molecular biology, and computational research staff to design, plan, and perform experiments, collect data, and conduct data analysis.
- Other duties, as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Requires a Ph.D. degree in Biology, Biochemistry, Chemical Biology, or related area; relevant Postdoctoral experience preferred.
- Scientist: 0-3 years industry experience; Senior Scientist: 4+ years industry experience.
- Significant hands-on mass spectrometry experience is required. Experience in DIA analysis, particular for PTMs, is strongly preferred.
- Skilled across the range of proteomics processes: biological experiments (including cell culture), sample preparation, data acquisition, and data analysis.
- Familiarity with molecular glues or bifunctional degraders is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze, interpret, and present data in a clear fashion.
- Solid scientific training/productivity as identified through publications demonstrating creative thinking as well as innovative technical approaches.
- Ability to work with an interdisciplinary team of biologists, chemists, and computational scientists to deeply characterize and understand the proteomes of cells, biofluids, and tissues.
