Description:

Within the spirit of "Making People's Dreams Come True", this position is responsible for all tax reporting and compliance across the organization including the annual federal and state returns, management reporting and related quantitative analyses. These duties are accomplished while delivering Raving Fans customer service to both internal and external customers.

Responsibilities:
  • Oversight of the Tax division and direction of related staff.
  • Manage the preparation and timely filing of income tax (including individual, partnership, and corporation) and tangible property returns as well as reporting to and corresponding with various government agencies.
  • Ensure the company's internal processes are compliant with existing tax laws by monitoring tax development at local and national levels.
  • Interact with federal, state, and local taxing authorities.
  • Analysis of partnership and joint venture agreements.
  • Ensure that the current status of software is maintained through coordination with the Information Technology Department.
  • Manage distributions from various companies.
  • Oversee monthly accounting and write-up of affiliated companies.
  • Interact with corporate officers and department heads on various tax and business matters.
  • All other duties as assigned.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Customarily and regularly directs the work of two or more full-time employees or the equivalent and has the authority to make decisions regarding the hiring, firing, and promotion of these direct reports.

Education & Experience Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree (B.A.) in accounting or a related field with a minimum of fifteen (15) years of related experience.
  • Must have Active Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.
  • Experience with income tax preparation and foreign income filing/compliance required.
  • Must be proficient with tax preparation and related software, preferably ProSystem Tax, ProSystem Fixed Assets, ProSystem Engagement and Saxtax.
  • Must have strong working knowledge and use of Microsoft Office software including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Time management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities as well as excellent written and oral communications skills.
