Duties & Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with production members (Assistant manager, engineers, specialists) to assess existing processes
- Draft process ideas to reduce costs and improve production rates
- Perform risk assessments
- Design and test process upgrades and new process systems
- Ensure processes comply with safety and quality standards
- Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
- Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant internal stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
- Ensure resource availability and allocation
- Develop and maintain detailed project plans to monitor and track progress
- Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule, and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
- Measure performance using appropriate project management tools and techniques
- Manage the relationship with the client and relevant stakeholders
- Support Engineering department activities, as required
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- Proven working experience in project management
- Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification is considered an asset
- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with a wide range of office/plant team members, management, senior executives, and external parties
- Strong work ethic and sense of responsibility and confidentiality
- Well-developed organization, time management, multi-tasking, problem solving, and analytical skills
- Action-oriented, flexible, dedicated and committed
- Must be legally entitled to work in Canada
