Job Summary
The Field Service Engineer 3 at American Medical Imaging (AMI) is a senior-level position responsible for providing expert-level technical support, specialized troubleshooting, and in-depth maintenance services for our advanced X-ray equipment.
We are looking for a skilled and experienced professional specializing in the repair, maintenance, and calibration of X-ray systems. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise and a comprehensive understanding of diagnostic imaging equipment. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our customers' X-ray systems, reducing downtime, and delivering exceptional service. As a senior-level engineer, you will be expected to demonstrate leadership, foster continuous improvement, and maintain a strong customer-focused approach. OEM training and certifications from major manufacturers (such as GE, Canon, Carestream, or Philips) are highly desirable.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Lead complex installations, advanced troubleshooting, and in-depth repairs on specialized X-ray equipment. Ensure optimal performance of customers' X-ray systems by performing regular maintenance and calibration. Act as a subject matter expert in X-ray technology and provide guidance and mentorship to other engineers. Develop and deliver specialized training programs for internal staff and customers. Collaborate with engineering and research teams to assist in the development of new products and technologies. Foster continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance service processes and equipment performance. Provide technical support and consultation to the sales and marketing teams. Maintain a strong customer-focused approach, ensuring exceptional service delivery and client satisfaction.
Qualifications Required
Bachelor's degree in a related field; Master's degree is a plus. Extensive experience in servicing, troubleshooting, and calibrating advanced X-ray equipment. In-depth knowledge of X-ray technology, including specialized applications and imaging modalities. OEM training and certifications from major manufacturers (such as GE, Canon, Carestream, or Philips) are highly desirable. Excellent leadership, mentoring, and interpersonal skills. Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. Comprehensive understanding of diagnostic imaging equipment. Willingness to travel for advanced training and conferences.
