DEPARTMENT DESCRIPTION
UW Medicine's Patient Account and Support Services is a shared service that supports the entire UW Medicine Organization
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Analyze business processes and procedures with a focus on system New Version Upgrades
Review and evaluate system updates and coordinate upgrade implementation, including analysis, design, operations inputs to testing and implementation are successful
Project manage small scale business systems implementation
Define and document customer requirements.
Proactively monitor and maintain all departmental systems
Observe and interview employees regarding operations and procedures
Act as an expert resource to UW Medicine staff by anticipating and identifying educational, procedural and functional problems associated with the
revenue cycle system applications and cross system interfaces
REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor's in business, Healthcare Administration, any of the analytical sciences or equivalent experience.
At least 4 years in patient account management, including knowledge of billing and collection requirements, third-party reimbursement and electronic
information processing
Minimum 4 years of experience performing progressively more complex and responsible tasks
Demonstrated excellence in both internal and external customer interaction and written and verbal communication skills
Strong customer focus and management of customer expectations; ability to establish and maintain a high level of user trust and confidence in a variety of
groups.
