Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer (CEO), as a member of the LDE Senior Leadership Team, the Director, Finance functions as the organization's strategic financial business leader. The role provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of LDE strategy in all areas of the organization.

The role provides the financial expertise to enable the successful implementation of LDE strategy in all areas of the organization.
Key Work Actities
- Responsible for the overall accounting and financial management requirements of LDE
- Responsible for preparing and reviewing annual budgets, monthly forecasts and operating results of LDE
- Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensuring that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with legal requirements
- Manage financial software requirements
- In conjunction with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, creates the annual operating budget for LDE and all business units
- Ensures a strong accounting and operational control environment is in place to safeguard assets, improve operations and improve profitability
- Provides ongoing analytical support by monitoring the operating expenses of the organization against the projected revenues
- Produces accurate forecasts that enable the Senior Leadership Team to react to changes in the business or market
- Utilizes interpersonal and communication skills to lead, influence and encourage others in the advocation of sound financial/business decisions
- Oversees the internal, external and regulatory audit processes
Working Enviroment
- Work undefined hours - some Signature events during the year will require extended hours.
- Standard office environment for the majority of the time.
- Ability to be physically mobile for extended periods of time during events - freedom of movement, walking, and standing is required
Qualifiacations
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in business, finance, accounting or equivalent education and experience
- 5 Years or more in a leadership role in finance, accounting or other relevant experience
- Proven knowledge in finance and accounting
- Proven ability to plan and manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and direct reports
- Demonstrated results in developing and delivering sound communications, marketing and brand creation plans
- Strong working knowledge of industry regulations, health and safety, and legislative guidelines
- Experience in hospitality, sporting, events and entertainment industries is an asset.

- Time-management skills and a proven track record of delivering quality results, with attention to details;
- Computer proficiency required including advanced Excel, Word, Outlook, databases and general internet skills; and
- Responsible, accountable and solutions focused - you deliver on promises and take the initiative
