LAX APM project is seeking candidates for the operations and maintenance of the Automated People Mover (APM).
The LAX APM is LAWA's first public-private partnership (P3) project. The project includes a total of six stations, five of which Fluor is building, that connect a new consolidated rental car facility, intermodal transportation facilities, expanded airport parking and Metro transit to the airline terminals. The project will transform the experience for travelers at one of America's busiest and most iconic airports, while bringing jobs and workforce development opportunities to the local community.
The Infrastructure O&M Field Service Engineer will report into the O&M Organization and will be responsible for oversight of maintenance activities of the Project related to the APM.
This position provides technical support to craft and supervision on the project. Also supports Quality by providing Quality oversight in their daily activities, as required.
Perform construction engineering work requiring application of standard construction engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria in performing a sequence of related construction engineering tasks
Assist craftsmen and foreman with regard to construction-related issues identified on drawings
Perform surveillance/examinations, if required, to ensure that the Quality objectives are being met for the project
Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
Other duties as assigned
Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and two (2) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to six (6) years if non-degreed
Preferred Qualifications
Construction Management degree or global equivalent
Typically has three (3) years of project experience
Ability to speak/read multiple languages
Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing and email as well as the basic use of spreadsheets

Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
