Description:

Monson Savings Bank is currently seeking a full-time, non-exempt Deposit Operations Manager & Fraud Analyst to oversee Deposit Operations staff, ensure timely and accurate completion of duties, and assist in monitoring, implementing, and administering the Bank's fraud and identity theft programs.

Working within the Loan & Operations Center located at 75 Post Office Park, Wilbraham, MA, this position generally works within normal business hours and has the possibility for future remote/hybrid work.

Some of the position responsibilities include:
  • Provides staff with assistance in problem solving and serves as a general resource for direction and guidance.
  • Ensures timely and accurate completion of departmental responsibilities such as those relating to quality control, deposit operations, returned item management, overdraft, returned mail, levy processing, and scheduled customer correspondence.
  • Responsible for gathering information for audits and exams as it relates to areas of oversight such as deposit operations/compliance and overdraft. Works to resolve issues; prepares and provides written responses and follows up on issues.
  • Manages the handling of overdraft and deposits operations related complaint monitoring to ensure corrective measures have been taken and issues are remedied or escalated, as applicable.
  • Reviews and analyzes potential fraud and identity theft incidents and alerts. Performs investigations, provides recommendations and written summary of findings.
  • Identifies and tracks fraud and identity theft activity and trends and prepares related management and board reports.
  • Communicates and coordinates with employees, customers, and law enforcement on fraud and identity theft related issues.
  • Prepares and provides training to staff on Identity Theft Red Flags, Fraud Prevention, Complaint Handling, and other training needs as identified by management.

Qualifications/Skills: Preferred applicant has strong customer service, analytical and investigative skills; sound knowledge of bank operations and regulations; demonstrated ability to manage multiple demands and priorities; ability to work independently and strong attention to detail and organizational skills; excellent written and verbal communication skills; strong technology/computer skills; ability to type accurately and proficiently; proven interpersonal, leadership and supervisory skills with team and customer service approach to work responsibilities.

Experience/Education: Bachelor's degree and 5 - 7 years of related experience; with knowledge of deposits operations and deposit compliance; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
