Job Summary
This role will be responsible for the daily, weekly, and monthly activities associated with Fortified Health Security's Vulnerability and Threat Management (VTM) and Internet of Medical Things (IoMT) services. The Threat Assessment Analyst will work with the members of the Threat Assessment Operations Team to perform the necessary processes that ensure the requisite services are delivered to the client in a timely manner. This role will require the individual to understand interconnected network devices, the management thereof, and security threats faced by the cyber security industry and the remediation of those threats and vulnerabilities. Additionally, this role will be responsible for the creation of Fortified's Threat Bulletin Reports. The abilities to work cohesively with a small team and the possession of professional communication skills, both written and oral, are essential.

Essential Job Functions

- Service delivery and execution of VTM and IoMT service offerings.
- Delivery of findings (formal report, notes, virtual call presentation, and appendices) to the client.
- Thorough understanding of Vulnerability Scanning technology and the interpretation or analysis of the results generated by such technology.
- Reporting of operational and strategic metrics to team lead or dept. management.
- Maintain awareness of various network, system, and application threats, vulnerabilities, and remediation strategies being able to communicate and transfer the knowledge thereof in a concise and professional manner.
- Maintain currency of existing and pursuit of relevant industry or professional certifications.
- Maintain awareness of significant patch and update details.
- Configure and execute vulnerability scans.
- Process, analyze, and compile results from completed vulnerability scans.
- Host meetings with various level IT staff members and present findings of VTM and IoMT scans to include recommended remediation strategies.
- Develop and present meaningful reports to company client base.
- Compile security bulletins to inform clients on new and updated cyber threats.
- Accurately enters and submits time by required deadlines.
- Books travel in adherence to the company/client travel policy.
- Maintains documentation regarding customer interactions and detailed notes pertaining to actions taken during an assigned project.
Knowledge & Skills
Education & Experience
- Associates degree in Cyber Security or related field.
- Prior experience in network operations and VTM operations a plus.
- Familiarization with patch management and IT Security a plus
Special Skills & Knowledge
- Knowledge of information security best practices in multiple focus areas.
- Knowledge and understanding of cyber security principles and concepts.
- Familiarity with cyber security utilities and applications.
- Experience with network security, topology, networking technologies and an understanding of the OSI Model.
- Understanding of the trending security principles, techniques, and protocols.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Motivated and self-disciplined.
- Must possess a level of professionalism and diplomacy that will serve to build and maintain relationships throughout the course of the project and beyond.
- Must possess strong problem resolution / critical thinking skills.
- Must be flexible and work with a high level of initiative.
Licenses, Certifications, etc.
- Security+ Certification preferred
- Network+ Certification preferred
- Strong computer skills in Adobe and Microsoft Office applications (Project, Visio, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Working Conditions & Travel Requirements
- Hybrid In Brentwood, TN Office
- Evening and weekend hours should be anticipated.
- Travel as needed.
