Job Title: IT Security Engineer
Location: Remote job (2 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, NY) - Ability to come on-site as required
Duration : 6 to 12 months
Job Description:
Tasks Include:
Manage enterprise security solutions such as NGFW infrastructure DNS/DNSSEC, enterprise MFA and NGFW infrastructure, and Data Loss Prevention (DLP) technology.
Manage the implementation of new security updates information for hardware or software.
Provide technical expertise for the administration of security applications.
Assess and provide expertise on appropriate assurance levels, firewall policy evaluations, next-generation threat prevention designs, SSL encryption/decryption strategies, vulnerability protection profiles, content filtering and perimeter security controls.
Assess and provide next-generation threat prevention designs and SSL encryption/decryption
Mandatory Skills/Experience:
Note: Candidates who do not have the mandatory skills will not be considered
Minimum 12 years of experience in a technical and/or business application, product, platform, or methodology.
Experience designing secure networks, systems, and applications with a focus on security, performance, and reliability.
Experience planning, researching, and developing security policies, standards, and procedures.
Experience working with Windows and Linux operating systems.
Demonstrate a sound understanding in the implementation of cybersecurity trends, security methodologies, and OSI model; TCP/IP Stack.
Desirable Skills/Experience:
One or more relevant information security and/or networking certifications such as: CISSP, Security+, Network+, CCNA, PCNSE
Professional experience in a system administration role supporting multiple platforms and applications.
