Title: Sr. User Researcher

PROJECT: The candidate will be working on a project called Field Connect. The position requires experience identifying the appropriate research method needed at various points within the software development lifecycle based on questions the product team would like to have answered and where the product is within the development process. The candidate should be able to create and maintain a research roadmap outlining research methods that should be conducted for various features/functions throughout the year and should be able to plan, conduct, and report findings from each research activity.

IDEAL BACKGROUND: Healthcare is preferred, but more importantly were looking for someone with experience conducting both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Wed like to see work samples of artifacts such as a moderators guide, a usability test script, a usability report, etc..

TOP REQUIREMENTS:
  • Gather insights and validate solutions with users using quantitative and qualitative research methods in order to inform design decisions: 5+ years experience
  • Experience in creating research roadmaps, journey maps, personas, research plans, moderator guides, and research reports: 5+ years experience
  • Proven ability to manage multiple research requests in a timely fashion, with competing priorities and deadlines. 5+ year experience
  • ** What experience will set candidates apart from one another? Work samples that showcase the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of an organization. Understanding and application of benchmark testing, confidence intervals, NPS ratings, conversion rate research and reporting, regression analysis and SUS or SUPR-Q will also set the candidate apart.

LOCATION: Will start remotely, but will be expected to return to the office once COVID-19 restrictions are lifted.

TEAM STRUCTURE: Our team functions as a consultancy so the team composition will vary. The candidate should be able to work as the sole researcher on a project and should be able to handle conducting research for concurrent projects.

INTERVIEW PROCESS: WebEx where the interviewee will share their screen and walk through work samples that highlight work they've done using various research methods. a. How many rounds? 3 b. Video vs. phone? Video/phone c. How technical will the interviews be? The candidate will be asked questions related to research methods, their experience incorporating research into agile processes, etc.

Design, conduct, analyze, and report data gathered from qualitative and quantitative research techniques including key-stroke level modeling (KLM), usability testing, contextual inquiry/field studies, surveys, interviews, heuristic evaluations, focus groups, card sorts, ethnography and persona development, and rapid iterative testing within an Agile environment. Work with product teams to identify and prioritize user research requirements, including timelines, scope, and methodologies Collaborate with product teams to remediate issues identified from research Advocate for user research principles Collaborate with product teams to develop research goals, identify tasks and scenarios, and establish a test environment Create and deliver test result reports including statistical analysis Establish research and usability metrics strategies for project teams.
