Qualifications and Skills

• EMC Certified Professional with over 8 years of experience in IT industry and 5 years of experience in Backup implementation, Architecture, administration and troubleshooting.
• Proficient in EMC Backup and Recovery technologies Avamar, Data Domain and Data Protection Advisor
• Experience with NDMP Backups
• Proficient in installing, configuring and administering Avamar 5.x and above.
• Extensive Experience in Total Recovery of the servers in the event of disasters.
• Experience in Integrating VMware with Avamar for Virtual Machine backups.
• Experience with Avamar with Data Domain.
• Proficient in performing client migrations between technologies and also technology refreshes.
• Proficient in allocating storage to different Operating System servers from different storage arrays
• Proficient in performing zoning configuration on different fiber channel switches for storage and tape libraries.
• Have ample knowledge in creating custom reports based on client requirements using Data Protection Advisor
• Expertise in documenting, writing scripts, guiding and mentoring Junior associates.
• Effective communication skills, team building skills, ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and good analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Expertise in configuring Windows 2000 2003 server TCP/IP, Active Directory, DNS DHCP Servers.
• Ample knowledge in multi-vendor OS like Solaris, RedHat Linux and Microsoft Windows.
• Experience in 24X7 / on-call support in a datacenter environment with more than 500 servers.
