You will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and ensuring the successful execution of DevOps initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management:
- Plan, lead, and manage the full lifecycle of DevOps projects from initiation to delivery.
- Collaborate with development, testing, and operations teams to streamline CI/CD processes.
- Establish project timelines, deliverables, and reporting to stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and handle resource allocation, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies.
CI/CD Pipeline Management:
- Oversee and optimize CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins for continuous integration and deployment.
- Ensure GitHub repositories are managed effectively, including code branching, merging strategies, and version control.
- Implement automation to improve pipeline efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
Team Collaboration:
- Coordinate with DevOps engineers, developers, and testers to implement best practices in automation and deployment.
- Ensure the team adheres to Agile and DevOps principles for efficient collaboration and rapid delivery.
- Facilitate daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospective meetings.
Technical Leadership:
- Provide guidance in configuring and maintaining Jenkins pipelines, plugins, and security best practices.
- Set up and manage GitHub repositories, ensure code quality, and implement code review processes.
- Advocate for the use of automation tools and technologies to streamline DevOps workflows.
Reporting & Metrics:
- Track and report on KPIs related to the DevOps lifecycle, such as deployment frequency, lead time, and system reliability.
- Prepare status reports for senior leadership and stakeholders, highlighting project milestones and any blockers.
Continuous Improvement:
- Stay up-to-date with the latest DevOps tools, technologies, and best practices to continually enhance the team's capabilities.
- Lead post-incident reviews to identify root causes and implement corrective actions.
Required Qualifications:
Experience:
- 5 years of experience in DevOps, with a minimum of 3 years in project management.
- Proven experience in managing Jenkins and GitHub workflows in a large-scale environment.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD principles and tools.
Technical Skills:
- Hands-on experience with Jenkins, including job configurations, plugins, and pipeline-as-code.
- Proficiency in GitHub, including version control, branching, and repository management.
- Experience with other DevOps tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, and Ansible is a plus.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
