Android Developer

Job Description:

• Demonstrates up-to-date expertise and applies this to the development, improvement, and release of the Sam's AndroidApp.
• Participates in peer code reviews and contributes effectively within an agile setup with designers, product managers, and peer developers.
• Provides and supports the implementation of business solutions. Provides mobile engineering support to the business.
• Troubleshoots business and production issues for mobile devices.

Minimum Skills required:

• At least 5 years for mobile app development experience.
• Experience with mobile software development using Kotlin & Java.
• Experience using distributed source code version control systems (Git/Github)
• Experience working within an agile development team
• Experience with Google SDKs for Android development Experience with software debugging techniques (debuggers, loggers, crash report tools)
• Experience with analysis of memory issues such as memory leaks using memory analyzers tools (Instruments)
• Experience in design patterns, MVVM, data structures and algorithms.
• Experience in unit and integration testing Kotlin code.

Additional Details:

• Good proficiency in Kotlin and Android application architecture.
• Solid understanding of Android SDK, design principles, patterns and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work effectively with engineers, product managers, and business stakeholders alike
• A desire to work in a fast-paced and challenging work environment
• Knowledge on supporting tools like Figma, Charles, Postman.
• Knowledge of Design patterns and SOLID principles is a plus.
• Experience in retail industry is a plus
